Exotic accessories celebrate an African deity in Bahia, Brazil
The House of Iemanja is located in the beautiful seaside village of Arraial da Ajuda about 600 km south of Salvador de Bahia. Joana Valente, the owner, moved there in the late '70s and began collecting objects from the sea dedicated to Iemanja, queen of the sea and other Yoruba deities of Candomblé. The collection gives her house its exotic charm.
